Hi! I'm Megan and I am an everygirl who understands what it’s like to juggle a career and personal life in our busy modern world. I know that twinge of envy when you scroll through Instagram and Facebook, desperate to have the same effortlessly stylish life. I started The Aura Home to help you make your home a place you can be proud of - somewhere you can entertain friends, raise a family, enjoy your hobbies, and most importantly, grow as a spiritual being. By combining my experience as an interior designer and my passion for spirituality and the healing arts I'm going to lead you on your journey to create a beautiful, healthy home and to enjoy life along the way.
After 15 years in the Interior Design business, I'm thrilled to be combining my day job with my spiritual side passions. I feel like I was born into design. No Really! My dad was a draftsman, carpenter, and later a Construction Project Manager. Until the age of 5, his drafting board was tucked into the corner of my bedroom. Naturally, I loved sketching on his graph paper and my mom still has some of my early attempts at floor plans. Cut to high school and the heyday of Trading Spaces. TLC gave us all the creative license to get out there and DIY our way into adorable homes - I chose my undergrad major. Four years of satisfying work and travel later I had earned my BS in Interior Design and trotted off to the DC Metro area for my first job in the biz! But I’m not a one-trick pony. Oh no, I've also been gobbling up anything spiritual, reading hay house books, taking self-development courses, and dabbling in feng shui. all my years of experience and study have taught me that we have the absolute ability to live the life of our dreams and that our physical environments go a long way in supporting or thwarting our journey. I understand the anxiety and frustration around creating the perfect home and I'm driven to help you make your home design dreams a reality.
When I'm not managing projects or creating new content you can find me spending quality time with friends and family, reading, listening to podcasts, doing touristy things around my hometown, or traveling.
